I want to know Jesus. Really know Him. I want my relationship with Christ to be deeply intimate and profoundly personal. I want to talk with Him and hear his voice like a close friend. I want to understand all the ways He can be everything to me…Savior, Redeemer, Master, Friend.
Like a reflection in a mirror, I want my life to be so changed by God’s grace and love that I reflect Him. As the moon reflects the sun’s light, I want to reflect the Son’s glory. To be more like Him is to be all I need.
Why? To be quite honest and transparent…nothing else satisfies. Nothing. When I am fed by His Word, drenched in His Love, and led by His Spirit, I long for nothing else. There’s not a new dress, a food, or even a relationship that makes me feel whole and complete like when I’m in the presence of Christ. As a result, I am passionate about loving and serving others. It makes me a better wife, mother, daughter, and friend. It makes me want more of Him.
For some, you’ll know exactly what I mean. For others, this may seem foreign. If you have never pursued Jesus like this, just try it. However you best connect with God, go further and deeper. He’s waiting. Seek Him afresh and anew. Know Him better and be satisfied.
